Spring break baby

Palm Springs is paradise
We had the best time enjoying beautiful weather and conveniently located near many great friends. It was the best week...great bonding as a family and great to have 8 days of fun in the sun!
It was over Easter but the Easter bunny found us and we were still able to do an egg hunt:)

Our friends, the Schulman's, were also in Palm Springs.  It was fun to see several Minnesota friends while on spring break.

My college friend, Jenni, lives in San Diego and came to see us with her kids Ashlyn & Andrew

Family Fun Day for Zach's birthday

It has been sort of our tradition to do a big family outing for each birthday over a big gift...make a memory that will last. This year for Zach's birthday, we booked a night at the Depot hotel downtown. The ice rank was closed for the season but we made up for it in the fun at the waterpark inside the hotel. Being St. Patty's weekend, we also got to watch the parade after dinner downtown. So fun to have a day/night with just us four...the fun continued in the morning after breakfast...more fun in the waterpark! We love you Zach!! So happy you loved your surprise!!

Friends Winter Cabin Weekend and Skiing

Our usual group of four families headed to Alexandria, MN for the weekend...Heather's parents live there but spend the winter in Arizona.  It was the perfect get away!
Ski School...90 mins of lesons and Zach was ready to hit the green slopes.

We celebrates Hailey's sixth birthday on Saturday!! We have celebrated every birthday with her as she was Zach's first friend (met at 6 months). Zach did a great job for his first time and I volunteered to be the adult skater to help...and bust out some of my moves.

Zach is really turning into quite the artist! He drew these in art class to celebrate Presidents' Day. Lincoln and Washington if it is not as obvious as I thought.

Grammy in town

Grammy was in town for a full week which was so great!  She was able to spend the full week with Molly...Zach was off two days, I was off two of the days so we got lots of time to hang out and do different things as well as she got to be apart of our normal routine.  Basketball, swimming, gymnastics, soccer, etc.  She took the kids to movie, lunch, indoor play area and at home they did a whole dino world full of paintint, building and making a play with different dinosaurs that they read about in the books from book store....she even had lunch with Zach at school, got him on/off the bus....

Zach's classroom rabbit came to stay the long presidents weekend. Four days went super well...as it should with a litter box trained bunny!

First tooth and Friends Holiday

On January 5th, we celebrated the holidays with our close family group of friends here...we have celebrated holidays together like this for 4 years. The night was topped off with Zach losing his first tooth literally as he climbed into the car to come home!

Field trip

In January, I was able to go on Zach's class field trip to the nature center. It was cold but really fun! Great to see him with his friends in his element. He was so happy to have me there...kept a watchful eye for me:).

We even rode the bus there!

Highlands Great Gathering

Zach's elementary school has one adult fundraiser a year, The Great Gathering. This year it was an 80s theme! Heather and I were both on the committee so it made the evening more fun!

This is one of the signs they had up to say thanks for coming, donating and volunteering.  The kids pictured on the poster were all kids that had moms volunteering.  I love how proud Zach looks (third from left).

Each classroom made their own artwork canva for the silent auction.  This was the canvas that Zach's class made...totally awesome!!
