Highlands Great Gathering

Zach's elementary school has one adult fundraiser a year, The Great Gathering. This year it was an 80s theme! Heather and I were both on the committee so it made the evening more fun!

This is one of the signs they had up to say thanks for coming, donating and volunteering.  The kids pictured on the poster were all kids that had moms volunteering.  I love how proud Zach looks (third from left).

Each classroom made their own artwork canva for the silent auction.  This was the canvas that Zach's class made...totally awesome!!

October Trip to Kansas

Now that Zach is in Kindegarten, our vacations are around his school schedule.  He had a four day weekend for MEA (MN Educators)...a great opportunity to head south...to Kansas!!

We are so rarely all together...it was a great excuse for some quality family pics thanks to timer option on the camera...I think they turned out great!!

This picture is over Zach's hook at school.  His picture, self portrait and really one of the signature cute things they do in Kindegarten the first week of school.

Edina Football

Edina High School football team won their conference this season...a first in a long time. We made it out for homecoming parade with several friends. Hannah, Suri and Zach are in the same class at Highlands and Hailey is in kindergarten at Concord.
We missed the homecoming game but watched them beat Hopkins with the Schulman's. Super fun way to spend Friday evenings during the fall!!

Edina Hornet Hustle

Both of the kids ran in the one mile fun run...and fun it was!! Zach had asked his teacher if I had signed him up everyday...then would report back to me that I still hadn't gotten it done. Well luckily I did because he was so pumped. Woke up bright and early asking when is it race time and what clothes were best to sweat in. Seriously, this kids makes me smile at how much he loves sports and wants to do it perfectly. Perfect he was...ran a mile in about 10:30. Even Molly ran it...in 13 minutes:)

Severs corn maze fun!!

We enjoyed last Friday at the Sever's corn maze...there was so much to do...Watched pigs race, pumpkin launched, corn maze, hay maze, pillow jumper, saw animals and ended with hot cocoa...it was fun and they loved it:). Even more fun that Kim joined us

Zach's first day of kindergarten

Took the day off to celebrate Zach's last day of summer before kindergarten...went to Sculpture Garden, Noodles and the beach with Molly, Grammy, Mommy and Zach. Zach is now a kinder in Ms. Oberle's class at Highlands Elementary.
I found the footprints sheet that Zach made in his first day at daycare when he is 12 weeks...seems like yesterday!
Then on Friday, he got to ride the bus home. It was the highlight of his week

Grammy is town!!

We were to lucky to get Grammy to visit for 5 days!! It was a a great time!! We went to apple orchard, farmers market, Minnesota zoo, sculpture garden, beach...and for Zach's first day of kindergarten! Loved it!!!
